Gayatri Havan

From my earliest years, the Arya Samaj and the Gayatri mantra have held profound significance in my life. As a kid introduced to the Gayatri mantra through Arya Samaj Yagna ceremonies, I developed a deep spiritual connection that has shaped my worldview. The inclusive ethos of Arya Samaj, exemplified by female Pandits leading ceremonies, resonated with my belief in gender equality and my rejection of caste-based discrimination. Arya Samaj's emphasis on female education and intercaste marriage further reinforced my feminist values.

Although there was a temporary divergence from Arya Samaj teachings as my parents explored other spiritual paths. My connection was rekindled in USA when Girish Khosla uncle ji invited us to participate in Havan ceremonies. These rituals served as a poignant reminder of the importance of spirituality in my life, evoking memories of peace and purpose from my childhood.

Now, watching my daughters experience these rituals, guided by Girish Khosla's son (BK), feels like a full-circle moment. Through Arya Samaj and the Gayatri mantra, we find not only religious fulfillment but also a profound sense of community and environmental consciousness.
